Andreas Bergh is associate professor in Economics at Lund university and fellow at the Research Institute of Industrial Economics in Stockholm.

His research concerns the welfare state, institutions, development, globalization, trust and social norms.

He has published in journals such as European Economic Review, World Development, European Sociological Review and Public Choice. He is the author of 'Sweden and the revival of the capitalist welfare state" (Edward Elgar, 2014).

Var händer det?

Hittade nyss Yales "Geographically based Economic data". Om man mäter ekonomisk aktivitet per areaenhet (upplösning i 1-grads latitud x longitud) och färgkodar tredimensionellt från blått (låg aktivitet) till rött, ser Sverige ut så här:

Här snurrar hela jorden, avbildad på samma sätt. Hela datasetet finns tillgängligt och nedbrutet på länder. Så vad är poängen, förutom att det ser fräsigt ut? På forskningssidan är det ont om resultat hittills, men ett hittar jag:
The puzzling "climate-output reversal" is detected,whereby the relationship between temperature and output is negative whenmeasured on a per capita basis and strongly positive on a per area basis.

Nog borde mer kul gå att göra med dessa data?
